The small and peaceful village of Arda is situated close to the Greek border. To reach it, travel to Smolyan and from there go 30 km south. Gorna Arda is another small village situated in the same region.

Accommodation options in Arda vary, despite the size of the village. If a villa or a guest-house is already full, its owners will guide you to another, owned by their relatives or neighbors. Many locals make living out of tourism.

The village itself lacks attractions and entertainment. Its beautiful nature completely compensates for the deficiency. Hosts will never let you get bored. They will organize activities for additional small charge. You can explore the region following an experienced guide, take a look at the many caves in the region or satisfy your apetite during a cheverme night, when an entire lamb is usually roasted. If possible, they will also organize a folklore show, featuring live performances of local singers and musicians.

Most of the meals are cooked using fresh products and according to the preferences of tourists. There, just like in Trigrad, you can taste fresh milk and yoghurt, grilled meat, banitsa, as well as a wild strawberry liqueur.
