Well-known Bulgarian revolutionary Angel Kunchev was born in Triavna, a small town in the Stara Planina Mountain region.
His house has been turned into a museum hosting a collection of personal belongings and evidence of his revolutionary activities.
The museum treasures more than 200 outstanding works of art among which ceiling wood carvings, iconostases and statues. Evidence has been presented about the activities of other revolutionaries born in the same region.
The museum opened doors in 1970 on the occasion of Angel Kunchev’s 120th anniversary.
