Chiflik is a village situated in the vicinities of several natural preserves in the Central Balkan National Park.
The village is located 16 km away from the town of Troyan and very near the spring of Beli Osum River at an altitude of 850 m. Regular transportation line connects the village to Troyan. Chiflik’s population is only 498 people.
One outstanding preserve to be seen in the area is Kozya Stena. Edelweiss, a rare flower, can be seen growing in the preserve. Other attractions include rock phenomena, like Oushite (the ears), Sudranata Stena (the torn wall) and Rogachevi Kamuni.
Chiflik is well known for its healing mineral springs. Their water has been known to have healing power in cases of neurological, respiratory, gynecological and digestive disorders.
Old, authentic Bulgarian houses, as well as modern constructions make up the village. All of the buildings have been set up in traditional style to preserve the village’s architectural completeness.
Spa and rural tourism options abound, increasing the popularity of the village as a destination. Several modern hotels offer a wide range of services.
