Chouipetlovo is the village located highest up on the slopes of Vitosha Mountain, at an altitude of 1200 m. The region has become part of the European nature preservation network Natura 2000.
Douhlata, the longest cave in Bulgaria, is situated near the village.
From Sofia, you can reach Chouipetlovo walking through Cherni Vruh peak or taking the alternative routes through the villages of Yarlovo and Kladnitsa.
Chouipetlovo treasure a very old church, St. Petka, which was built in 1860. It also happens to be the first populated area through which Strouma River flows.
