Devnia's mosaics museum is one of a kind. It was constructed over the remains of an old Roman building dating back to the end of the 3rd and the beginning of the 4th century.
Mosaics made of tiny marble pieces, clay and colored glass can be seen there. These served as wall and floor decorations in buildings like homes, cult houses and tombs.
Each work of art depicts a unique scene. Most of them focus on mythology or include animal, floral or geometric patterns.
The museum has various other artifacts connected to lifestyle and architecture in the region.
Visit the museum on 78 Suedinenie street each day apart from weekends from 10 am to 4 pm.
