The cave is located 35 km away from Rousse, in the valley of Cherni Lom River.
Orlova Chouka is not fully explored. Nearly 13.5 km have been mapped already. These parameters rank the cave as second biggest after Douhlata.
Only the upper floor is open for visitors. The other levels are still covered by water.
Remains of sharp objects and other artifacts have been found inside the cave.
Orlova Chouka has its concert chamber. The acoustics inside are suitable for concerts and recording.
Eight types of bats inhabit the cave. Orlova Chouka has European importance for the preservation of these species.
According to visitors, Orlova Chouka’s most beautiful spot is Izvorcheto with its blindingly white stalagmites.
The walk inside the cave covers a distance of one km. A guide must be hired in Rousse beforehand.
