Pleven Epopee Panorama 1877 is one of a kind monument on the Balkan Peninsula. The monument was created to honor 100 years since Bulgaria’s liberation from Ottoman rule.
The panorama was set up in the region of Skobelev park museum, right where some of the most fierce fighting for Pleven liberation took place.
Events from the Russo-Turkish war from 1877 and 1878 where recreated via the panorama. Picturesque artwork, exhibited in four halls puts together the efforts of 11 Russian and two Bulgarian painters.
