Raiskoto Pruskalo is Bulgaria’s and the Balkan’s highest waterfall. It is situated in Stara Planina Mountain, more specifically in Dzhendema preserve. The proximity to Kalofer gives the waterfall the name of Kalofersko Pruskalo.
During fair weather, the waterfall can be observed from Kalofer.
Its height is the impressive 124 meters. The cascade starts below Botev peak and gets water from the melting mountain snow. A small spring starts from the cascade and enters Biala River. Rai hut is situated in the same area.
Lovers of rock climbing often visit the waterfall and the surrounding cliffs. Raiskoto Pruskalo is one of Bulgaria’s most important nature landmarks and numerous tourists gather there, especially during the summer.
Raiskoto Pruskalo was named a nature landmark in 1965.
