An eco path starts in Vidima district of the town of Apriltsi. Vidimsko Pruskalo eco path is 16 km long. The walk lasts four hours and the difficulty level is low.
The path aims to acquaint tourists with National Park Central Balkan and Severen Dzhendem preserve.
Severen Dzhendem includes the northern slopes of Botev peak. Some rare plant species can be seen there. Animals that inhabit it include bears, wild goats, deer, eagles and falcons.
Vidimsko Pruskalo eco path follows the flow of Pruskalska River. Five wooden bridges have been constructed over the river. The path passes through a dense forest and goes up a slope that offers amazing view of Vidimsko Pruskalo waterfall.
The waterfall’s water comes from the Iuroushka Gramada springs and the ones originating in Pileshki Polog col. Its height is 80 m, ranking it as the second biggest Bulgarian waterfall.
Information boards have been placed to give tourists more information about the plants and animals inhabiting the preserve. The path is suitable for picnics and rest.
