Kyustendil
Kiustendil is located in the fertile lands of western Bulgaria. The town’s history dates back to the 5th century BC, making it one of the oldest settlements in Bulgaria. Thracians settled there, attracted by the numerous mineral water springs. Over the centuries, the town developed as a commerce and balneological center. It had many names among which Pautalia, Velbudzh and Kiustendil. Today Kiustendil is known as the town of artists, as well as the fruit orchard of Bulgaria.
