A bigger number of tourists visited the resort of Bansko during winter season 2007 – 2008.
Bansko mayor Alexander Kravarov said that the resort managed to deal with some of its problems like water and electricity provision.
For the first time, Bansko hosted European ski championship. In April, the resort will organize a ski show featuring well-known atхletes.
One of the goals for the upcoming season will be becoming the host of a world skiing competition. If it receives approval, Bansko needs to work on a second cabin lift and better town infrastructure.
