Bulgaria will have for the first time a tourism path for people with disabilities, Labor and Social Policies Ministry said. The path was created in the Shoumen Plateau Park. Funding came from the ministry's agency for people with disabilities and from the state forestry agency.
The project will benefit people with visual impairments, as well as people that suffered sport traumas. It is also suitable for small children and elderly tourists.
Visitors take off near the park's information center and following the path reach Divdyadovski Skalni Ventsi. The track has length of 600 m and is two-m wide.
Sports facilities, resting places and information boards have been placed throughout the track. The project's value reached 34 300 leva. The official opening will take place on May 27.
