Golden Sands without emergency medical aid until mid-July
Golden Sands and St. Konstantin and Elena resorts lack emergency medical aid teams, Darik Radio reported quoting the regional health inspectorate director Vesselin Balkanski.

Agreements for the provision of urgent medical aid will be signed in the coming days. Health Ministry regulations state that Varna's university hospital will be responsible for the teams. They have to be at least five but will provide free urgent aid after the middle of July.

Another problem is the lack of regulations that oblige doctors to work with the national health fund. In this manner, visitors from EU countries cannot receive free aid but have to visit medics on private practice, who work with insurance funds.
