Archaeologist Georgi Kitov and his team made new discoveries during work at Droumeva Mogila near the Sliven region village of Staro Selo, Darik Radio reported. They discovered golden jewellery dating back to the 2nd and 3rd centuries.
Two golden earrings, silver bracelets and bronze rings were found. All artifacts were placed in a Roman grave. A woman was buried and archaeologists discovered a bronze coin in her mouth and clay beads on her neck.
As BulgariaInside reported earlier, Kitov's team discovered an ancient stone wall that most probably surrounded a temple of the sun.
