The lack of staff in the tourism sector and the numerous unprotected beaches force foreign tourism agencies to bring lifeguards to Bulgaria, together with the organized tourist groups, Dnevnik daily reported.
Most of the beaches in the Shabla region lack an owner or have not been given on concession. This poses threat to the security of tourists.
Balchik, Kavarna and Shabla municipalities have to ensure that 22 beaches are offered to private companies. The new managers will be responsible for security and the availability of medical teams. They will also take care of beach cleaning.
