Bulgarians are increasingly interested in local resorts, the Union of Tourism Investors said, opposing the views of sector representatives that they prefer to travel abroad.
The union made a survey, showing that Bulgarians are very active in terms of early booking, Dnevnik daily reported. Nearly 80 percent of the accommodation capacity has already been booked, a high figure for the beginning of the season.

Union representatives said that hotel owners and resort representatives should do their best to attract Bulgarian tourists. Bulgarians should be offered special packages and lower prices in cases of early booking. In this manner, local tourists will learn to plan their holiday in advance.
