Scandinavian tourists unsatisfied with service level in Bulgarian resorts
Nearly 50 percent fewer Scandinavian tourists have booked a vacation in Bulgaria this summer season.

Crime and the unsatisfactory level of service in the Bulgarian resorts are the main reasons for the decreased interest, Dnevnik daily reported.

During the past season, Bulgarian tourism agencies saw the Scandinavian market as a good compensation for the loss of tourists from the UK and Germany.

This decrease affects Bulgaria only. Agencies predict that even if they manage to deal with the loss of interest, bookings will be 30 percent less in comparison to figures for the previous summer.

The Scandinavian market is of key importance for Bulgarian tourism. More than 300 000 tourists from Scandinavian countries visited Bulgaria the previous summer season.
