A declaration of the Bulgarian Association of Tourism Agencies (BATA) calls for state measures against the constantly growing fuel prices.
Representatives of the sector said that the increasing fuel costs will cut down profit from the upcoming summer season, Dnevnik daily reported.
Tourism sector representatives said that they support the protests of drivers in Bulgaria.
Hotels and tourism agencies are making effort to attract higher number of Bulgarian tourists to local resorts. Yet, the increasing travel expenses might undermine their efforts.
Income from foreign tourist visits will also go down, since all prices were negotiated the previous year and the contracts were signed then.
