Bulgaria ranked among the most popular tourism destinations in Germany, bourgas.org reported.
GIATA-Ranking analysis agency gave Bulgaria the ninth place, based on bookings in 16 000 German tourism bureaus.
Spain holds the first place. Turkey, Greece, Egypt, Italy, Tunis, Thailand and Portugal are other destinations that made it to the top 10.
None of Bulgaria's coastal towns ranked among the 10 most popular resorts.
The lack of cheap flights to Bourgas and Varna made tourists select resorts in the country that can be reached via low-cost flights.
Four German agencies will manage the trips to Bulgaria this year. Charter flights to the country will be offered by 30 German airports. The flights can be made use of from April 29 to October 27.
