Prime Minister Sergei Stanishev will turn the first sod of Sports and Tourism Center Chepelare on July 5, mediapool.bg reported.
The project is worth 50 million euro and will be executed through a public-private partnership.
Investment will be used for the construction of the new information center and of summer tourism facilities, as well as for the reconstruction of skiing infrastructure in the region.
According to investors, similar projects are needed to increase the popularity of Pamporovo as a winter resort and to turn it into a destination for year-round tourism.
