Photographer Orlin Tsanev will make an atlas of the ships sunken in the Black Sea, Darik Radio reported. Tsanev is head of a divers club and has seen and photographed nearly 60 ships on the sea bottom.
The atlas will be luxurious and will feature Tsanev’s photos. The marine museum of Varna will provide explanatory texts. Varna municipality will manage the publishing process.
Tsanev presented another idea that will turn Varna bay into a tourism attraction. He suggested the submersion of airplane Tu-154, used by former head of state Todor Zhivkov.
Hemus Air owns the aircraft and has granted permission for the project. In time, the airplane will turn into a suitable terrain for inexperienced divers. Similar project was carried out in Sozopol. Where Pioner ship was submerged.
