The first academic year of the new Sozopol tourism college ended, Factor Online reported. Its first class is to graduate in 2009. Graduates will get the opportunity to continue their education in the Shoumen University. The college will also sign an agreement with New Bulgarian University, director Ana Petrova said.
Petrova said that the college's students will be able to counter the lack of staff in the tourism sector. They will also meet all requirements for specialists in the sector. Many students already work as managers of hotels in Black Sea resorts.
A tourism high school will open doors in Sozopol this year. The college and the high school will soon have their own building, Sozopol mayor Panaiot Reizi said.
