Annual budgetary income from hunting tourism reached three million euro, Dnevnik daily reported quoting head of the Union of Hunters and Fishermen in Bulgaria (UHFB) Hristo Mihailov.
Over the past years the sum has decreased, since 10 years ago revenue totaled eight million euro.
Investment in the development of hunting tourism reached 809 000 leva in 2007. UHFB said that the sector did not suffer negative consequences resulting from Bulgaria's EU entry.
Despite of the introduction of the environmental network Natura 2000, hunting and fishing suffered almost no restrictions. The only exception is Pomoriiski Solnitsi region, where the buffer zone between hunting and other territories was increased.
