The town of Razgrad will host a yogurt fair starting 11 am on July 24. The fair will continue three days, Darik Radio reported and will be carried out together with a crafts expo.
Several games and competitions will get visitors involved. One will involve the making of tarator (traditional cold soup of yogurt and cucumbers) and the second one will be a beauty pageant. Dance groups from 15 countries will present their skills.
In 2007, the event brought 2000 tourists to Razgrad. This year, the figure is expected to be twice higher.
A best yogurt competition will test the skills of some of the best producers and cooks. Residents of Getsovo village are said to be among the best yogurt makers. Rumors have it that locals put special herbs in the yogurt in order to give it extraordinary taste.
