Apriltsi is a town situated in a beautiful valley that is surrounded by Stara Planina Mountain from all sides. The town offers breathtaking view of Severen Dzhendem preserve and of Botev peak. The first settlers in the region escaped from Turnovo upon the Ottoman conquest. In 1976, four villages situated there were named Apriltsi and were given the status of a town.
