Aheloi

Aheloi is a small tourism settlement situated between Ravda and Pomorie. The village itself is away from the coastline, which prevented it from turning into a mass summer resort.

The road connecting Bourgas to Varna passes through Aheloi and makes the village hectic during the summer. The proximity of Pomorie, Bourgas and Sunny Beach is also a benefit for those who have limited budget and select the inexpensive accommodation in Aheloi.

Numerous accommodation opportunities are available in the village. It has restaurants and cafés that offer good quality of service. Aheloi has additional facilities like a harbor suitable for both boats and yachts.

Aheloi is known for a historic battle between Bulgarians and Byzantines that took place in 917. Bulgarians managed to gain victory since tsar Simeon, the current ruler, participated in the battle alongside his soldiers.

A river carrying the same name passes through Aheloi. Many fish species live in it and attract fishermen to the area. Regular transportation leads from the village to Bourgas and Sunny Beach.
