Asparouhovo village is situated on the coast of Tsonevo dam, in the valley of Louda Kamchia River. The distance between the village and the city of Varna is 85 km.
According to historians, the village was founded in the 8th century. Asparouhovo’s location changed, but some of the old buildings were preserved and now form an ethnographic complex. The old monastery school and the old village church St. Petka were also preserved.
The village has its information center, where visitors can learn about accommodation and landmarks in the region.
One rock phenomenon, called Choudnite Skali (wonder rocks) is situated near the village, on the shore of Tsonevo dam.
Several hotels and guest-houses offer accommodation in Asparouhovo. Owners organize picnics, hunting and fishing.
