Dyuni, a modern vacation village, is located in a beautiful bay between the coastal resorts of Sozopol and Primorsko. The area represents one of the most popular holiday spots on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast.
What makes the spot an attractive one is the well-preserved system of dunes, as well as the clean beaches and the proximity to the preserves Vodni Lilii (Water Lilies) and Veliov Vir. The swamp of Stomoplo, also a preserved area is also located within the area.
The highest dunes reach the impressive 19 meters, while the beach is 4.5 km longs and at locations 100 meters wide. Fine, white sand covers most of the beach.
Some of the plants growing in the Dyuni region have been included in Bulgaria’s Red Book of rare species.
Dyuni’s beach has received a Blue Flag award for nature preservation and cleanness.
Recently investors decided to set up major hotel complexes in the area. These facilities offer luxurious holiday in the clean and environmentally friendly surroundings. Dyuni is quite different from the popular and noisy mass summer resorts.
